On 3rd May 2010 morning i was due for my last checkup at 9am at KKH with Dr Irene Chua..I reach abt 9.10am den went in for checkup at abt 9.15am..Dr Chua wanted to check if i have dilated already anot..she check le and said 2cm..den suddenly she say WATERBAG BURST!! waaa a sudden gush a water rush out..de nurse put a pcs of paper like thing and ask me to stand on top and was like urining lor..cant control at all..at tat point of time i don feel any pain at all..Dr Chua said immediate admit to delivery suite now..she said estimated delivery time will be either tat nitez or next morning on de 4th..after come out le i called hubby and tell him i goin to gif birth le..he was like "HUH!! den how?? wat should i do now?? so suddenly de arh?? okok i work half day den come find u!!"
Went into de room and nurse ask me to change clothings and ask me to lie there to wait lor..at abt 10.30am doctors there put me on drip and oxytocin to induce birth..by 12pm plus my sis came by and pei me and paid off de hospital bill..she den went for lunch and i was like "mei, i am soooo hungry now..i hadnt had my breakfast leh.." nurse den came in and say.."u cant eat anything arh..cant drink too much water also onli can dab abit nia.." i was like OMG!! hungry sia...den my sis came back at abt 1pm like tat..den contraction pain starts to kick in..pain..i remember i was watchin cartoon network hahaz..still got de mood lor..heez..at 2pm pain was quite painful le..nurse came in and ask if i need any pain relieve..i told her i wan de gas..she den gave me, it was like almost instance relieve..but i was so high lor..like on drugs like tat..hubby came at 3.30pm and sis left for home..he brought my elephant!! hahaz so happy lor..hugged like sooo hard...my comfort toy..heez..den suddenly de gas tube was disconnected and i really felt de contraction pain le..den at 4plus i almost cant tahan de pain le..i was screamin in pain le..hubby said my face like crumpled paper like tat..sooo funny...he ask me if he could take a nap anot..and i shouted nooooo!!!! i at here pain le u still got mood to sleep..kns lor..
Abt 4.45pm i pain until really CANT TAHAN already, i press de button for de nurse..nurse came in:
nurse: "wat can i do for u??"
me: "I veri pain.."
nurse: "u pain i also cant help leh.. u wan epidural??"
me: "(hesitate a while..) ok lor..i take epidural.."
nurse: "ok i got get doc.."
2 mins later....
nurse: "sorry, de doc administering epi for another patient..u have to wait for another 30mins.."
me: "HUH!!! ( i look at hubby desperatly)"
At 5pm doc came in to administer for me..but my contraction too painful le and it's coming at 1 min 1 time..it's so hard for me to remain still lor...i keep goin "wait wait wait..pain pain pain.." hahaz...once de epi was administered..instant pain relieve man!! but my legs starts le numb le..to be honest de epi was not painful at all..after tat i fell asleep le..and woke up at abt 7pm watchin chn 8..pain starts to kick in again at 7.15pm and nurse came in to check dilation it's at abt 6-7cm le..i was so happy le..i den press de button to increase dosage for my epi..
At 8pm nurse say will come in to check on me at 9pm again but she came in at 8.30pm..and i was fully dilated already..SOOO HAPPY!! den say i can start pushin le..i tell her i don noe how to push leh..by 8.45pm Dr Chua came in and helped me and ask me to hold my breath and hold for 10secs...but i cant hold lor..always until 7sec like tat i already start to change breath le..and i vomitted i guess due to de effect of epi amd i didnt eat de whole day..hubby pass me a plastic bag and juz left it on my neck there lor..hmm so bad nv hold for me..Dr Chua see tat i cant push due to my epi she called another lady doc in and help me..she used her hands and push my tummy so hard..after a while Dr Chua say "head come out already!!" i was like relieve le..but actually bb was not out yet..hahaz..den i take in another breath and when i was abt to change de doc tat was pushin my tummy push bb Belle out at 9.03pm..wow wat a relieve!! i was so happy..no pain at all!! heez..hubby was like all over bb Belle and like forgetting me totally le..Dr Chua den stitch me up..thankfully i didnt feel any pain at all..thanks to de epi..
Nurse den bring me to my ward..and i felt giddy and i was still vomitting at 12am lor..drink milo vomit milo..felt so bad..my onli meal den came in at 7am de next morning..i was starving already..heez..
It was a wonderful feelin afterall..all de pain was worthwhile when u see ur little one in ur arms..
